“Predictable Working Pattern” code of practice now available from ACAS

Following the (Predictable Terms and Conditions) Act 2023, receiving Royal Assent in September 2023,

ACAS has published consultation on a draft Code of Practice on handling requests for a predictable working pattern.

The Act states six specified reasons for refusing a request, including the burden of additional costs, and detrimental impact on the employer’s business.  The consultation closes on 17 January 2024, and the new right is expected to come into force in Autumn 2024.
