International Women’s Day: More than a date in the diary

International Women’s Day on the 8th March has been recognised for over a century. Since 1911, it has served as a global moment to reflect on progress, acknowledge ongoing inequality and renew the commitment to gender parity.

Many of the issues that existed when International Women’s Day first began, unequal pay, underrepresentation in leadership, bias and discrimination, remain relevant today. While significant progress has been made, the journey towards full gender equality is not complete.

International Women’s Day belongs to everyone who cares about fairness and opportunity. It is a chance to celebrate the achievements of women across all sectors and industries, to raise awareness of discrimination where it still exists, and to take meaningful action to create more inclusive workplaces.

At 121 HR Solutions, we are proud of the women across our team who support businesses daily with professionalism, resilience and expertise, contributing not only to our clients’ success but to the strength and culture of our own organisation.
